The Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) at Sacred Oak Medical Center offers a safe, stable and supportive environment with community and family interaction

According to the Anxiety and Depression Association of America, anxiety disorders are the most common mental illness in the U.S., affecting 40 million adults ages 18 and older (18% of the population) every year. Tragically, among the 40 million adults suffering from anxiety disorders, only 37% receive treatment. If left untreated, this can lead to a more complex set of risk factors that could potentially affect genetics, brain chemistry, personality, and life events.

Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD), which often co-occurs with major depression, affects roughly 6.8 million adults (3% of the population). However, less than half (43%) are receiving treatment. Major Depressive Disorder (MDD) is the leading cause of disability in the U.S. for those ages 15 to 45, affecting more than 16 million adults 18 years and older (6.7% of the population).

Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP)

The Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) at Sacred Oak Medical Center offers a safe, stable and supportive environment with community and family interaction. The PHP is best suited for those who require greater care than the Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), but not the hospice level of care that an inpatient treatment program provides.

The Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) consists of:

  • 5 classes each week

  • 6 hours for each class session

  • 2 month period of time

Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)

The IOP helps create a stable environment by giving patients the necessary support they need as they seek to establish a solid foundation for their recovery.

The Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) consists of:

  • 2-3 Individual sessions a month

  • 3 groups each week

  • 3 hours for each class session

  • 6 weeks average length of program

  • Daytime and evening hours are available
